Demographic Profile and Extra Intestinal Manifestations of Ulcerative Colitis in Pakistani population

Background: It is a systemic disorder. begin in the rectum and later on extent to other organs. Usually involvement of organ addition intestine observed condition called as extra intestinal manifestation. associated with high rate morbidity mortality. Study design: retrospective study conducted Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Medical College / Divisional Headquarters teaching hospital Mirpur Azad Kashmir for duration six months from February 2022 July 2022. Material Methods: There were total 72 males that participated this 48 females. The age distribution patients is. Most belonged group 20 39 years followed by 40-59 where 22 reported. This was approved review board committee. participants aware objective. written consent signed participants. SPSS used statistical analysis. Results: Extra-intestinal manifestations patient analyzed it found 24% patient’s musculoskeletal symptoms present. Sacroilitis 12.1% most commonly symptom. Peripheral arthritis also reported 7.3% patients. Episcleritis present case 2.1% Conclusion: concluded peak included Ulcerative colitis according European Asian countries, However, second missing unlike some studies. Extra Manifestations quite low.
